As we flip the calendar to July, the second month in this three-month summer chapter, I find myself pausing for a moment of reflection. June felt full. It was busy, yes, but a happy kind of busy. A balanced busy. The kind that reminds me life can be full without being overwhelming.

Looking back, June was filled with joy—vacations, time with friends, laughter, and sunshine. There were pockets of rest, much-needed pauses that helped me recharge. And there was growth, both personal and professional. I invested in myself in meaningful ways, and that feels worth celebrating.

In my business, June marked the start of our Fall coach recruiting campaign. It was exciting and demanding, and it stretched me outside my comfort zone. Some days were stressful, absolutely. But now that I have the benefit of hindsight, I see how valuable that stretch really was. I learned a lot. I developed new skills, established new professional connections, and, most importantly, I ended the month in a different place than where I began.

As I reflect, I’m reminded of many high-performing leaders and coaches I work with. They’re thoughtful, driven, and committed to making a meaningful impact. I recognize that same drive in myself.

But here’s the thing I’ve learned about high achievers: we’re often already on to the next thing. Our minds keep pushing us forward—spotting the cracks, noticing what didn’t get done, and reaching for what’s next. That’s why intentional pauses are so critical.

The end of the month offers a natural moment to slow down and reflect. And for those of us who are wired to keep striving, we have to be deliberateabout celebrating progress and acknowledging growth. It won’t happen by accident.

We have to choose to see the good, to honor the effort, and to recognize how far we’ve come.

So as I close the chapter on June, I’m asking myself three questions I encourage you to consider too:

What did I accomplish?

What can I celebrate? What did I learn?Where do I want to go next?

Let these questions guide your reflection and shape your intention for the month ahead.

Here’s to a meaningful June behind us, and a powerful July ahead.
